Recompete Radar is a UK-based procurement intelligence service. This privacy notice explains how personal information is used when you visit the service, create an account, save searches, receive alerts or buy a subscription.

Who is responsible for your data?

Recompete Radar is responsible for the personal information processed through this service. You can contact us at support@recompeteradar.co.uk.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and account identifiers.
• Saved-search information: search criteria, tracked buyers, alert frequency and related preferences.
• Subscription information: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status and billing events. Recompete Radar does not store your full payment-card details.
• Service information: basic request, security and diagnostic logs needed to operate and protect the service.
• Support information: information you send when you contact us for help.

How and why we use personal information

We use personal information to:

• create and secure your account;
• provide saved searches, buyer tracking and opportunity alerts;
• provide and administer paid subscriptions;
• send service, security and account emails;
• respond to support requests;
• prevent abuse and keep the service reliable; and
• meet legal, tax and accounting obligations where applicable.

Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, we process personal information because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for and perform our contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing Recompete Radar, or because we need to comply with a legal obligation.

Email alerts

If you enable an opportunity alert, we use your account email address and saved-search criteria to send the alert you requested. You can turn alerts off or change their frequency from your saved searches.

Payments

Payments and subscription billing are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment information needed to process your transaction. Recompete Radar receives subscription and customer identifiers and status information so that the correct plan can be enabled.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate Recompete Radar, including:

• Cloudflare for hosting, databases, security and related infrastructure;
• Stripe for subscription checkout and payment processing; and
• Resend for transactional and alert email delivery.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy arrangements. Some processing may involve infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. Where international transfers apply, the relevant provider is responsible for the safeguards it uses for its processing.

Public procurement information

Recompete Radar also processes public procurement information, including data made available through UK public procurement sources such as Find a Tender. This may include buyer and supplier organisation names and, where present in public records, professional contact information. This public-source information is used to provide procurement search and intelligence features and is separate from your Recompete Radar account information.

How long we keep information

We keep account and saved-search information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where necessary for security, support, legal, tax or accounting purposes. Diagnostic logs may be retained for shorter operational periods. We do not keep information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is held.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to certain processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect account information and restrict access to service credentials and payment data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Recompete Radar is a business and professional procurement service and is not intended for children.

We may update this notice when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its updated date.
