Recompete Radar is a UK-based procurement intelligence service. This privacy notice explains how personal information is used when you visit the service, create an account, save searches, receive alerts or buy a subscription.

Who is responsible for your data?

Recompete Radar is responsible for the personal information processed through this service. You can contact us at support@recompeteradar.co.uk.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and account identifiers.
• Saved-search information: search criteria, tracked buyers, alert frequency and related preferences.
• Supplier Profile information: information you choose to enter about your organisation, such as services, target regions, contract-size preferences, existing public-sector customers, competitors, frameworks, certifications and historic win-rate information.
• Report information: custom report names, filters, sections, schedules, recipients and report snapshots needed to generate and deliver Intelligence Reports.
• Team information: if you use Teams, we store workspace membership, role, invited email addresses and seat status so that shared access can be provided.
• Subscription information: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status and billing events. Recompete Radar does not store your full payment-card details.
• API access information: if you use the API/Data plan, we store a one-way hash and short identifying prefix for each API key, plus creation and last-used timestamps. The full key is only shown when it is created.
• CRM integration information: if you connect a CRM or webhook, we store the connection configuration and encrypted access credentials needed to send selected pursuits to that service. You control which opportunities are pushed.
• Commercial workspace information: public clarification text you choose to import, saved clarification themes, TUPE scenario assumptions, capture plans, and approved PQQ/SQ answers and evidence you save in your workspace.
• Service information: basic request, security and diagnostic logs needed to operate and protect the service.
• Optional analytics information: if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics and first-party product events to understand page and feature usage, such as searches, opportunity views, report creation and checkout steps. First-party product analytics uses a session identifier and may be associated with your account when you are signed in. We do not intentionally include passwords, API keys, payment-card details or email contents in analytics events.
• Support information: information you send when you contact us for help.

How and why we use personal information

We use personal information to:

• create and secure your account;
• provide saved searches, buyer tracking and opportunity alerts;
• provide and administer paid subscriptions;
• provide Supplier Profiles, personalised Pursuit Fit, CSV exports, dashboards, team workspaces, Intelligence Reports, Spend Signals, Clarification Intelligence, capture planning, PQQ/SQ answer reuse, TUPE scenario modelling, CRM integrations, international procurement views and API/Data access requested by account holders;
• send service, security and account emails;
• respond to support requests;
• prevent abuse and keep the service reliable; and
• meet legal, tax and accounting obligations where applicable.

Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, we process personal information because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for and perform our contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing Recompete Radar, or because we need to comply with a legal obligation.

Analytics and cookie choices

Optional analytics is off unless you choose to accept it in the cookie banner. If accepted, Google Analytics may set analytics cookies and Recompete Radar may record first-party product events to understand how features are used and where users encounter friction. You can change your analytics choice using the Cookie settings control shown on the site. Essential account, security and subscription functions do not depend on accepting analytics.

Email alerts and team invitations

If you enable an opportunity alert, we use your account email address and saved-search criteria to send the alert you requested. In an active Teams workspace, shared-watchlist alerts may be sent to active team members. Team owners can also enter a colleague's email address to invite them to a workspace. You can turn alerts off or change their frequency from your saved searches.

Payments

Payments and subscription billing are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment information needed to process your transaction. Recompete Radar receives subscription and customer identifiers and status information so that the correct plan can be enabled.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate Recompete Radar, including:

• Cloudflare for hosting, databases, security and related infrastructure;
• Stripe for subscription checkout and payment processing; and
• Resend for transactional and alert email delivery; and
• Google Analytics for optional website analytics when you have consented.
• CRM providers you choose to connect, such as HubSpot or Salesforce, when you explicitly send a pursuit into that system.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy arrangements. Some processing may involve infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. Where international transfers apply, the relevant provider is responsible for the safeguards it uses for its processing.

Public procurement information

Recompete Radar also processes public procurement and public-spend information, including data made available through UK public-sector sources such as Find a Tender and published transparency datasets, and official international procurement sources such as TED, Ireland eTenders and SAM.gov where enabled. This may include buyer and supplier organisation names and, where present in public records, professional contact information. This public-source information is used to provide procurement search, Spend Signals and intelligence features and is separate from your Recompete Radar account information.

How long we keep information

We keep account and saved-search information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where necessary for security, support, legal, tax or accounting purposes. Diagnostic logs may be retained for shorter operational periods. We do not keep information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is held.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to certain processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect account information and restrict access to service credentials and payment data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Recompete Radar is a business and professional procurement service and is not intended for children.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its updated date.
